Remove the shelf and the brackets from the wall. Trace the horizontal location for each shelf using a 4 ft. Level as your guide. Mark inside the holes so you know exactly where to insert the screws.

If you don t have a string line use a long straightedge and mark the wall with a pencil. Adjust the level until the bubble is centered and mark the keyhole locations on the wall. Clean magic eraser before starting our project. The wall adjacent to the sink where the shelves are going had a few cobwebs etc so i pulled out a swiffer duster and wiped them away.

All clean and ready to go. Use a stud finder to mark the locations of the studs and lightly press masking tape over each one. Then i cleaned the wall with an all purpose mr. Now adjust your knots until your shelf sits level.

Check your marks for long wall shelf with the 4 ft. Then install anchors or drive the screws into the studs and hang the shelf. Screw a drywall screw into your wall and hang your shelf from it. Remember that the top of the shelf will be above your marks.

Here they re used to store makeup and nail polish but you could also stock them with spices or knickknacks. This small level is super handy to have around and a necessity when it comes to home projects. Use a standard level to make sure it s placed in a straight line then lightly mark the wall with a pencil on both ends. Once you get your shelf level you should cut the end of your strings off and you re done.
