How to adjust the garage door height on my chamberlain.
Step 4 test the opener to see if the door height is now at the desired level.
Move it the opposite way to decrease it.
If the up travel isn t functioning properly turn the up limit adjustment screw clockwise.
Turn it only a quarter of a turn.
Press and hold the down arrow button until the garage door reaches your desired down closed.
Note one full turn of these screws equates to a door travel distance of two inches.
Position ladder below the back or rear portion of the opener to access the screws.
When the garage door is in your desired up open position press and release the rectangular adjustment button.
To decrease it turn it counterclockwise.
You can as well turn on open in case of the garage door with a mark and close sign.
In order to increase the down travel rotate the down limit adjustment screw counterclockwise.
Note adjustment screws are on the left side of garage door opener motorheads.
If you would like to increase the height of the garage door then you will have to turn the up screws.
