I think what s most important is keeping the room warm enough to reduce condensation and increase evaporation to an level that keeps things fairly dry.

If so how much if there s little or no gap will moisture cause damage inside the tub area if there s no place for the steam to escape while one showers for example.
I have about 5 inches from the top of the shower door to the top.
The room is 2 03m from floorboard to ceiling plasterboard.

I never use a plastic seal there unless it is requested by the homeowner.
