It may take a few day before it s really dry.
How long should bathroom walls dry after painting before showering.
Depends on the kind of paint you used.
Different materials vary when it comes to drying times.
Latex paint dry to the touch in about 1 hour and you can safely recoat in 4 hours.
Repeat the earlier painting process.
I d give it at least 24 hours.
Begin by cutting in the paint then move to rolling out the walls.
Some coatings take 4 hours while some can take up to 48 or 72 hours.
Wait at least two hours for the paint to dry.
Keep damp laundry or towels off the painted surfaces during this time.
After a shower or bath leave the bathroom door open with the ventilation fan running or the bathroom window open for at least 20 minutes to allow humidity to diminish.
However the labels on all paint cans specify the dry and recoat times for that particular paint so be sure to read the manufacturer s directions for exact times.
Keep this in mind when scheduling your painting.
Premium typical latex that most people use in houses today 30 minutes to 4 hours.
Much longer for oils.
Basically if you can touch it with your fingertip and it doesn t mark the paint or it feel sticky then start hanging.
Latex dries to the touch in 30 minutes to a couple of hours depending on temperature and humidity.
Additional coats can be applied after it has dried for 24 hours.
Keep an eye out for.
Oil based paint takes eight hours to dry to the touch.
It s best if you can wait 48 to 72 hours before showering or taking a bath in a freshly painted bathroom.
Definitely wait that long to scrub or clean it it does have to cure.
Ask your painter or read the directions on the paint can to be sure but my thought is that if your bathroom is well ventilated and you towel off excess water in the shower as soon as you finish you could use the shower 24 hours or so after the painting was done assuming the paint is water based and not oil based.
In cool or wet conditions the paint will take longer to dry.
